Little known fact: Roo spent his early years slinging margaritas at some of New York City’s best joints, including the now defunct Zarela’s and MESA Grill. And during that time I drank plenty of margaritas. Each Cinco de Mayo, I raise a glass to celebrate all those in the service industry. This year, my libation of choice will be this blood orange margarita from Hilton San Francisco Union Square’s Lobby Bar.
The delectable combination of Avion tequila, grand marnier orange liqueur, blood orange juice and freshly squeezed citrus delivers a sweet and tart punch and its distinctive, dark crimson hue makes it the perfect beverage for citrus lovers.
